Impotence
Many men today are concerned about their ability to maintain or get an erection, as well as premature ejaculation. Because of our modern lifestyles and environment, it seems that impotence and male infertility is reaching epidemic proportions. Natural methods such as adding vitamins and other nutritional supplements to the diet, have been notably successful*, and at the same time less expensive and less invasive than standard medical treatments. |
Common Symptoms
Inability or attain or maintain an erection; premature ejaculation; inability to impregnate a woman. |
Common Causes of Impotence
Poor nutrition, as well as environmental or heavy metal toxicity, arteriosclerosis and diabetes, protein deficiency and gland imbalances have all been implicated in impotence and other male sexual problems. Even though impotence can have other causes, it is often one of the first indications of arteriosclerosis, as the small blood vessels in the penis can get clogged up first. |
Vitamins, Minerals and Other Nutritional Supplements
Zinc, vitamin E and carnitine are all important nutrients for men and male reproductive health. Vitamin C can be helpful if there is sperm agglutination*. Detoxifying, especially the heavy metals can be helpful, and chlorella is often used for this.* Goji & Acai Juice have both been recommended for impotence and sexual dysfunction*. Goji is high in vitamin C and Acai in essential fatty acids and proteins. Some herbs that have been traditionally used for male impotence include ginseng, cayenne, ginkgo biloba and gotu kola. In fact, long before certain famous impotency drugs appeared on the scene in the US, ginseng was used in cases of male impotence. If your impotence is caused by arteriosclerosis and/or diabetes, you might want to check out the vitamin, nutritional supplement, diet and other recommendations under Heart Disease and/or Diabetes. Avoid conventional meats that may have had hormones added; switch to organic, pastured animals instead. Avoid all junk foods, especially those with chemical additives. Make sure you are getting enough protein, and if you think you are having a hard time digesting it, you might want to add digestive enzymes, hydrochloric acid (betaine HCL) and/or cultured vegetables to your diet. Concentrate on vitamin rich and nutrient dense foods |
